Cindy is comfortable in a classroom setting or gymnasium and can hold the attention of children from 45 minutes to an hour or more. Her performances are interactive and participatory giving children of all ages a chance to help tell a story. She often features her own stories and shares the creative process with her audience in programs or workshops.
Cindy likes to feature stories from all around the world to help promote cross cultural understanding while encouraging everyone to tell their own tales from their own cultural backgrounds or their own family stories.
In 2005, Cindy helped manage a ‘Tell Your Family Stories Contest’ at Pier 21 which included classroom participation.
Whatever the school event or curriculum, Cindy can adapt to any theme, interest, time requirement, or special requests.
