Preschool Visits

Cindy Campbell-Stone worked for over 30 years in a public library as a Children’s Library Assistant and prior to that, she worked as a teacher at various preschools. Cindy knows what to expect in a preschool or Pre K setting and understands the importance of literacy, oral literacy, numeracy, music and movement for early childhood development.

While working in the public library, Cindy developed a program called Shake, Rattle and Read. This weekly program was offered to both the general public and preschool groups. This program highlighted oral storytelling, reading, numeracy, music, songs and rhymes to encourage oral language development and pre-reading skills.

Cindy has performed for preschoolers, their parents, caregivers and teachers at public libraries with such programs as: Rhythms, Rhymes and Telling Tales, Babies First Books, Tales For Twos, Preschool Storytime, Programs for Various Cultural Heritage Months and Puppet Shows.

For several years, Cindy performed at preschools in the community and at preschool events offering a variety of themes and educational learning experiences for both children and teachers.

Whatever the preschool event, Cindy can adapt to any theme, interest, time requirement, or special requests.

Cindy is available for teacher, parent or caregiver workshops; or for professional development days.

She also offers felt story making workshops.
