Babies to Seven Years

  • Shake, Rattle and Read: Halifax Public Libraries. A weekly program, that I developed, which highlights oral storytelling, reading, music, songs, rhymes to encourage oral language development and pre-reading skills.
  • Tales on the Farm: Cole Harbour Heritage Farm and other similar venues.
  • Preschools on a regular basis: Dartmouth Daycare; Victoria Children’s Centre, ChildCare Connections Picnic and Parade; and other preschools in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Eight years to Eighteen

  • Story Quest:10 week storytelling workshop series for 10-14 years. Dartmouth Players Theatre.
  • Storytelling and Puppetry: a 10 week course for ages 7-10yrs. Dartmouth Players Theatre.
  • Stories and Songs: Hackmatack Children’s Book Awards (several years).
  • Oral Storytelling for Teens: Halifax High Schools; Halifax Public Libraries; St George’s Youth Net, Halifax.
  • Peace Tales: Halifax area schools; World Peace Pavilion, Dartmouth (grades 5 & 6)-a program offered to schools for several years.
