Trad Night: Traditional Music, Ballads, Broadsides, Chanteys

On FRIDAY, JANUARY 9, 2026, the Helen Creighton Folklore Society presents TRAD NIGHT, an evening of balladry and songs of old at Evergreen House.

Trad Night is a Musical Outreach Program of the Helen Creighton Folklore Society dedicated to fostering and furthering the art of singing traditional ballads and songs of old. Trad Night strives to integrate all aspects of ballad singing – history, performance, varying versions, magic, folklore, etc. ✨

The event is Open Mic style – bring traditional ballads or old songs of your choice to share a cappella or with instrumental accompaniment.

Trad Night is regularly held the 2nd Friday of each month at Evergreen House.
Admission is by Free Will Donation with no registration required.
