Hosts Cindy Campbell-Stone and Christine Hennebury welcome you to Telling Spooky Stories, a chat about the ins and outs of telling ghost stories and other creepy tales.
Here are some of the things we’ll consider:
Why do you choose to tell scary stories?
How do you choose which ones to tell?
How do you judge when a story will be TOO scary for your audience?
How do you create a good atmosphere for your tales?
What do you say if someone asks if your story is real?
Join the conversation to share your experience and expertise and maybe even pick up some new ideas.
About your hosts:
Cindy Campbell-Stone
Cindy is a storyteller, singer, and performer from Nova Scotia with family roots in Prince Edward Island. She has been performing for over forty years. A long time member of the Helen Creighton Folklore Society, Cindy has a special interest in the works of folklorist, Dr. Creighton, in particular, her book: Bluenose Ghosts. Cindy’s busiest time of year is in October when she tells ghost stories and tales of the supernatural. She sometimes collaborates with museums and authors to provide the spookiest of settings for a good scare. She has also been known to add songs and ballads to her ghostly repertoire.
Cindy is the recipient of the national Storykeeper Award for her contributions to storytelling.
